[Letter] 1854 Mar. 27, San Francisco to Rev. J.A. Broadus / Wm Rollinson. 1854.

Having been present when the church in Sacramento City voted Broadus a call, Rollinson wrote to encourage him to consider it favorably. "Sacramento is a most important position--the Baptist Church there is an efficent and able body, and under the guidance of a pastor in whom they will be united there is nothing to prevent them from attaining a postion equal to that now held by any church in that community. The scarcity of Baptist ministers is such that they are unable to supply themselves with a pastor from men now upon the field. They have sent you a unanimous call. Is it not something like a providenial indication of what may be your duty?" Provided information on travel arrangements.
